The Role
Support the design, construction and management of European model portfolios within Vanguard's Investment Strategy Group, focusing on asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk oversight and investment strategy. The role sits in a small London-based team working globally alongside two associates in a highly collaborative environment.
Key Projects
- Ongoing development of European model portfolios
- Embedding capital markets assumptions into portfolio design
- Expanding multi-asset and risk frameworks and potential work on hybrid public/private market strategies
What You'll Do
- Develop and oversee model portfolios and tailored glide paths to meet investor needs across channels and markets.
- Partner with business units to design innovative portfolio solutions, multi-asset models spanning public and private markets.
- Apply Vanguard's capital markets assumptions into portfolio construction across asset classes-equities, fixed income, private credit, and private equity.
- Work with distribution, product, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and adoption of models and glide paths while delivering analytics, performance attribution, and thought leadership on multi-asset solutions.
What You Bring
- Proven experience in investment management, asset allocation, portfolio construction, portfolio management, or investment research and risk.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with curiosity to develop innovative asset allocation approaches across diverse asset classes.
- Exposure to multi-asset investing (equities, fixed income, alternatives).
- Quick learner, comfortable working in a fast-evolving investment environment.
- Open to applicants from financial services, asset management, or research firms.
- Bachelor's degree required; MSc, MBA, CFA, or quantitative background highly desirable, with strong mathematics, coding, or analytical training preferred.
