What you’ll do
- Lead the design and delivery of real‑time and historical data platforms, including integration with market data vendors such as OneTick, Bloomberg and Refinitiv.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, making pragmatic architectural decisions with architects and engineers.
- Remain hands‑on in the development of core platform components, ensuring high-quality engineering delivery.
- Define and enforce standards for performance, resilience, data quality, observability and production stability across critical systems.
- Design and optimise data models, schemas and query patterns for large‑scale financial time‑series datasets supporting trading and analytics use cases.
- Own production reliability during trading hours, while driving best practices in monitoring, incident response and mentoring engineers across the team.
What you bring
- 8+ years’ experience as a Senior / Lead Developer within financial services or asset management is a must.
- Proven track record building real‑time, investment management‑focused data solutions, ideally on OMD platforms.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Python and AWS; Java beneficial.
- Experience delivering complex integrations and scalable data systems in front‑office trading or market data environments.
- Comfortable operating as a senior technical authority within small, high‑performing teams, influencing design and delivery decisions.
