About The Role
As Client Services Specialist you will take responsibility for handling and investigating inquiries from our Spanish clients and communicating solutions. This is a new office for Vanguard, and you will be a key part of the newly established team, setting up the processes and ways of working. In this role you will be trusted face of Vanguard for many of our clients and a critical part of our success in Spain.
Responsibilities
- Handle and prioritise client requests, including complex issues and escalations.
- Follow up with internal partners or clients directly to resolve outstanding issues.
- Follow standardised procedures to resolve client issues.
- Conduct research to fulfill complex client requests and transactions.
- Identify applicable internal partners to collaborate with to develop solutions to complex issues.
- Identify trends and contribute to process improvement efforts.
- Ensure client inquiries are resolved and communicated within defined service levels.
- Ensure all communications are within regulatory guidelines and are accurate, clear, and concise.
- Develop and maintain proficient knowledge of Vanguard funds, products, and services.
- Understand the overall Financial Services industry and related legal, tax, and regulatory issues to guide clients.
- Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Related sales support and investment client services experience.
- A solid track record of working in an asset management, financial advisory, banking, or related sector.
- Fluent Spanish and English language skills, to business proficiency level.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.

We are in the process of establishing our new office in Madrid in the Barrio de Salamanca region. This job will be based there.
