As a Business Analyst, Specialist you will work in the Corporate Change team within Vanguardās European Strategic Services. Working with the teamās project managers, you will have a unique opportunity to lead and represent requirements and potential solutions to key stakeholders across the business. The primary objective of this role is to support a key initiative enhancing Financial Crime oversight procedures, so experience in Financial Crime is a key requirement. This role can be Manchester or London based. Applicants will be curious and motivated initiative-takers, who demonstrate a passion for the asset management industry and Vanguardās opportunity to significantly improve outcomes for all investors.
Core Responsibilities in the role
- Working collaboratively with the project manager to support them with analysis, requirements documentation, current state / future state planning, risk management, delivery assurance and issue resolution.
- Identify and scope the data sources and paths between our third-party platform provider, other third parties and internal systems.
- Work with internal and third-party teams to produce required documentation to move projects towards completion.
- Find and propose creative ways to solve problems and work closely with internal and external teams to evaluate business opportunities, documenting requirements and areas for improvement.
- Align with the project manager to be an advocate for change, by clearly articulating the benefits and promoting acceptance, across functional team members and leadership teams, of āto-beā models and frameworks.
- Be able to estimate effort for requirement elicitation and analysis across the project.
- Ensures that all deliverables align to the business objective and align with IT strategies and methodologies.
- Define and document the requirements for system integrations and assist in implementing solutions.
- Participate in other projects and perform other duties as assigned.
What it takes
- Business Analyst with Financial Crime experience (e.g. AML, KYC, fraud, sanctions etc.) across asset management and/or financial services firms.
- Experience to include requirements gathering, gap analysis, as-is / to-be process mapping, requirements definition etc.
- Demonstrable experience in using tools, analysis, documentation and strategic problem solving to successfully progress projects to completion.
- 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry, ideally with retail investment platforms experience.
- Excellent written, visual, and verbal communications skills, able to influence and negotiate whilst showing business judgment and work ethic.
- Diligence with strong organisational, interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Ability to deliver multiple concurrent projects and manage competing priorities.
Special Factors
This position follows a hybrid working model that will require you to be in our Manchester or London office three days per week.
