We are now seeking a Part-Time Quality Assurance Manager to help maintain and elevate our exceptional standards across ongoing brickwork contracts. This flexible, part-time position involves site visits 1-2 days per week to projects in the North West & West Midlands. The role focuses on proactive quality inspections, compliance verification, and direct liaison to ensure our brickwork consistently meets or exceeds expectations.
Ideal base location: Stoke-on-Trent (or immediate surrounding area) to ensure sensible and efficient travel times to sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed quality inspections and audits on active sites during visits.
- Liaise directly and confidently with brickwork project managers, bricklaying gangs, client site managers, and contracts managers.
- Produce clear, concise reports after each site visit, documenting observations, non-conformances (if any), and recommended actions.
- Attend final snag lists, rectification works, and sign-off/handover meetings to verify complete resolution.
- Engage professionally with clients to address and resolve any quality-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Extensive, hands-on knowledge of LABC, NHBC, and Building Control standards – you must know these like the back of your hand (this is absolutely critical for the role).
- Proven background in quality assurance, site supervision, or inspection within bricklaying, masonry, or general construction.
- This position would suit a highly experienced construction site manager, contracts manager, former NHBC or LABC inspector, or similar professional looking for a part-time, focused QA role.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels – from site gangs to senior client representatives.

- Flexible working pattern (typically 2-3 days/week, with advance scheduling).
- Opportunity to work with a professional, quality-focused team on varied and interesting projects.
