We are looking for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to support our UK operations, partnering with business leaders and operational teams to drive excellence in Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance.

Based at Birmingham Business Park, the HSEQ Advisor will play a key role in the development and implementation of the company's HSEQ strategy across multiple UK locations.

The role requires a highly visible presence within operations, providing assurance, coaching, guidance, and leadership to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Your impact

  • Working within the Health and Safety department, the QHSE Advisor will be responsible for providing Health and Safety support to the Site Service Based Teams.

The position is core business hours Monday to Friday.

Your roll will include

  • Provide advice and support to Toyota Automated Logistics teams to meet requirements of legislation, ISO standard, company processes & procedures and Clients standards.
  • Support implementation of the TAL QHSE Policies to drive improvements and gain / maintain certification.
  • Promote a proactive approach to QHSE management while being Site based , regular contact with supervisors, managers and employee representatives to ensure issues are clearly understood and effectively managed.
  • Drive an incident & injury free culture.
  • Maintain a strong focus on risk reduction & risk management and driving behavioural safety
  • Assist teams in compiling and communicating user friendly documentation to manage QHSE risks including H&S meetings, H&S training, noticeboard materials etc.
  • Assist managers in ensuring competence of their teams and ensuring adequate records are maintained along with key risks and non-conformances.
  • Liaise with the Service teams and Project teams to close out actions and non-conformances.
  • Carry out risk assessments in designated locations (Fire, Workplace/Welfare and PUWER)
  • Support site teams with the investigation of issues, accidents, incidents and non-conformances, including production of accident & incident reports and root cause analysis.
  • Facilitate the delivery of corrective and preventive actions for significant issues in conjunction with the relevant teams / managers.
  • Undertake Internal Audits with reports and follow up of findings.
  • Communicate companywide issues to relevant teams.
  • Assist QHSE Manager and support other advisors across service/projects in meeting objectives

  • IOSH Membership (Grad IOSH minimum, CMIOSH desirable)
  • Proven HSEQ experience within manufacturing, engineering, logistics, automation, warehousing, or industrial environments

• Strong knowledge and practical application of

UK Health & Safety legislation.

ISO 45001 Management Systems.

  • Machinery Safety and PUWER Regulations
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Hazardous Energy Isolation Programmes
  • Permit to Work (PTW) Systems and Critical Risk Controls
  • Contractor Management and Safe Systems of Work
  • Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Strong communication, influencing, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full UK Driving License and willingness to travel nationally.
  • Desirable strong environmental management experience, including knowledge of ISO 14001 and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting sustainability, waste reduction, carbon reduction, and environmental improvement programmes.
  • Auditor qualification (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and/or ISO 9001).

Chartered IOSH Membership (CMIOSH).

Experience working within automated logistics, robotics, warehouse automation, or material handling industries .
