That’s where Vanderlande comes in as a strategic partner having full responsibility of the performance and maintenance of Heathrow’s baggage handling systems.
Role Responsibilities
Working for the business based at Heathrow, the BCCR Project and Operational Interface Manager is a tactical leader responsible for governing the end-to-end assurance of baggage systems, operational processes and contingency processes, user training, information frameworks across Heathrow and partner organizations (BCCR Baggage Combined Control Room). Your responsibilities and activities will include:
- Lead and Represent BOA and Operational Resilience at strategic operational forums, ensuring that assurance, safety, and capability development are embedded in organizational decision-making.
- Reporting to the BCCR Senior Service Manager and collaborate closely to ensure alignment and understanding of projects with, BCCR Customer Liaison Manager and BCCR Process Managers.
- Collaborate closely to ensure alignment and understanding of Operations with the leaders of Design, Build, Operational, Maintenance and IT teams to provide best service throughout each project lifecycle.
- Brings a layer of connection and consistency to HAL Senior Baggage Operational Assurance Manager, HAL Baggage Transition Manager and HAL Baggage Resiliency team.
- Brings a layer of connection and consistency to the DBOMIT (Design Build Operate Maintain and IT) structure.
- Ensure clear, consistent, and timely communication between customers, operations, resilience, and project teams.
Role Qualification and Skills
As a BCCR Project and Operational Interface Manager, you would be willing to manage and learn from a multi-disciplined team in a fast-moving environment. We expect the following of you:
- Excellent communication skills including face-to-face, telephone and written.
- Ability to act as an SME in customer engagement, Operational matters, project forums and continuous improvement workstreams.
- Ability to deliver improvements and communicate these to Heathrow Airport Limited (HAL), Vanderlande and stakeholders.
- Utilise data and facts to make decisive and thoughtful decisions.
- Consistently strives for improvement and acts as a role model for others to do the same.
- Welcome change and challenges and will look for the value when carrying out their day-to-day duties to identify future initiatives.
