The Senior HR Partner is part of the People Services Organisation and provides support across a wide range of tactical HR processes and practices that enable the company to meet its strategic and operational goals. The role covers topics and questions that couldn’t be covered by Manager Self Service or HR Service Agents (tier 1) and often focuses on individual cases. As a strong partner to our Centre of Excellence (COE) teams and our HR Partners, this role will ensure the successful delivery and execution of our HR priorities and programmes at a local and global level. The position combines hands‑on HR delivery with strategic insight and project leadership, acting as a key interface between global HR functions and the local business.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high‑quality, responsive HR service while driving initiatives that enhance employee experience and support business performance.
  • Understand the business area profile, strategic goals and develop, agree and deliver an operationally aligned People Plan in conjunction with corporate and local HR strategy.
  • Support organisational change initiatives, including restructures and transformation programmes.
  • Partner with management teams to provide pragmatic, viable solutions for the people agenda as a highly credible and trusted partner.
  • Influence and constructively challenge stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
  • Provide expert coaching to managers on employee relations and people management matters, building capability while ensuring appropriate risk management.
  • Lead and deliver local and global HR projects and initiatives end‑to‑end, including design, implementation, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement.
  • Lead initiatives and programmes that deliver positive employee engagement, including leadership of the Glint engagement survey and action planning.
  • Support the development and implementation of UK HR policies and processes in line with legislation and best practice.
  • Serve as subject‑matter expert on employee relations issues, ensuring successful and timely resolution and mitigation of risk.
  • Collaborate with the HR Partner Lead to understand and implement processes that improve employee experience and continuous improvement of employee life events.
  • Identify service issues, propose improvements and lead or support the implementation of changes.
  • Deliver locally on Global HR processes across the full Employee LifeCycle, including Performance Management, Career Development and Succession Planning.
  • Contribute to Capability Expert Communities to improve HR capabilities.
  • Use HR data and metrics (e.g. engagement, attrition, absence) to inform decision‑making and track effectiveness of initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong track record of delivering proactive, value‑add HR support.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience using HR data and insights to inform decisions.
  • Experience supporting organisational change and transformation.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Flexible self‑starter with strong initiative and excellent organisational and multitasking skills who can work autonomously.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation, policies & procedures and best practice.
  • Ideally CIPD qualified (full/part).
  • Proven ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working in a matrix organisation in conjunction with central functions & delivery partners.
  • Proven ability to influence and negotiate across diverse groups and levels.
  • Workday (HR system) and Union relationship experience would be useful but not essential.
