Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Physical Therapist (Physiotherapist) to join the Arthritis Program in Cranbrook, BC, working as a Clinical Practice Leader. Apply today to join our team!

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing physical therapy services to clients at the Cranbrook site of Mary Pack Arthritis, ensuring quality client-centered care.
  • Coordinating daily physical therapy operations at the Cranbrook site by developing and implementing policies and procedures under the guidance of the Regional Manager, Clinical Programs.
  • Developing and maintaining treatment standards, planning, evaluating, and coordinating education, treatment activities, and research according to established policies and procedures.
  • Assessing clients’ physical status, functional abilities, needs, and goals; establishing diagnoses and prognoses; developing and implementing intervention strategies; evaluating effectiveness; and communicating with clients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Contributing to the organization and delivery of physical therapy services, participating in quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor\’s or Master\’s Degree in Physical Therapy or Rehabilitation Sciences, two (2) years of recent related experience, and completion of a Healthcare Management Certificate or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC).
  • Eligibility for membership in the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia (PABC).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of evidence-based clinical practice related to the designated clinical area.
  • Knowledge of physical therapy standardized tests and measures, theory, and practice within a client and family-centered care model.
  • Understanding of research processes and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of other healthcare disciplines and their roles.
  • Ability to function as a team member, teach, empower clients, communicate effectively, work independently, provide consultation, prioritize workload, and recognize referral needs.
  • Physical ability to perform duties and skilled in equipment use and treatment techniques.
  • Basic computer literacy.

  • The hours of work may vary based on operational needs.
  • All healthcare workers in publicly-funded facilities must report their vaccination and infection history as per Ministry of Health policy.
