We design and manufacture a modular van conversion system called CRUX along with a range of self-build products for the VW Crafter / Mercedes Sprinter / MAN TGE van platforms. Designed for the adventure and active lifestyle leisure industries, we operate from our workshop in Hampshire, UK.
We are seeking an experienced Campervan Build Technician to join vanconcept. Our modular conversion system called Crux uses removable panels and cargo rails to make the conversion process fast and flexible to meet customers' needs. We manufacture a large part of the Crux system in our workshop in Bordon using our CNC router & press brake machines.
The person who joins vanconcept to take on this role will become our lead installer for fitting out our customer vans with Crux. Although the system is modular and has been carefully designed to make installation easy, no two vans are the same with differing layouts, finishes and fixings adding lots of variety to the role.
- Fit out customers' vans with our Crux modular van conversion system.
- Assemble our range of products to fit out vans.
- Installation of 12v electrical systems, including wiring, lighting and solar panels.
- Install plumbing systems, diesel heaters, windows & roof vents.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop where we invite customers to see what we do.
- Manufacture products when required.
Requirements:
- Strong carpentry skills with experience in cabinetry construction and installation.
- Proficient in electrical work, including wiring and installation of solar panels.
- Basic understanding of plumbing systems and installation techniques.
- Familiarity with insulation materials and installation methods.
- Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines.
