The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is seeking a professionally accredited registered psychotherapist and/or counsellor who holds a supervisor training certificate. The School requires a qualified practitioner to teach on our Level 4 Therapeutic Counselling Year 1 (Tuesday) and Year 2 (Thursday). We also require teaching on our Degree programme (Friday).

You will be responsible for teaching, marking, and providing tutorial support for counselling courses. Additionally, you will contribute to all aspects of the work of the Section/School, including occasional \’out of hours\’ activities such as selection days, interviews, and open events.

As our Lecturer, you should hold a professional qualification to practice in Integrative Relational counselling or Psychotherapy, or in Children & Young People (minimum Level 6 Honours Degree). You must be a practicing member/registrant of BACP, UKCP, NCPS (or an equivalent professional UK body), with at least 3 years post-qualification experience, and hold accreditation (or be willing to gain this).

You should also hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards it) and hold a supervision qualification or have experience providing supervision to groups or individuals in a counselling or life coaching setting. With at least one year of experience as a teacher of counselling at Level 3 or above or a similar level, you should be capable of assessing students\’ work/skills practice and ideally be familiar with national educational standards and BACP and awarding/validating body requirements for the appropriate level.

The successful candidate will be eligible for any salary increase resulting from the annual cost of living review, which will be implemented in the new academic year.

This post will primarily involve teaching across all levels from Monday to Friday; however, these may be on variable hours contracts.
