The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is now seeking a Lecturer to take responsibility for the group tutorship of one of the courses within the Uniformed Protective Services & Policing and Sport curriculum areas. You will teach on a variety of courses and levels across the curriculum area, including but not limited to BTEC, NCFE, Levels 2 & 3.
Responsibilities
- Teach on a variety of courses and levels across the Uniformed Protective Services & Policing and Sport curriculum.
- Design engaging coursework assignments that inspire learners.
- Follow agreed schemes of work, assessment schedules, and student monitoring procedures.
- Participate in internal verification activities and organise and take part in external verification.
Qualifications
- Hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject.
- Hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards one).
- Have substantial relevant teaching experience on BTEC and/or NCFE programmes.
- Have links to the industry, relevant external agencies and validating bodies.
- Demonstrate excellent teaching skills, energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject and education.
- Support, motivate and empathise with learners, including monitoring their progress.
- Show high personal standards and expectations, creativity, good planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills.
- Have good attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure to agreed deadlines.
