The purpose of this role is to manage stock accuracy and inventory control, liaise with the Procurement and QHSE teams, and ensure smooth communication across departments regarding stock needs, delivery dates, and quality.

Key Result Areas

  • Stock Management & SAP Accuracy
    • Data input of perpetual stock checks into SAP
    • Conduct physical and SAP‑based stock investigations
    • Perform routine stock adjustments in SAP
    • Create inventory records for stock checks
    • Lead root cause analysis for recurring stock discrepancies
    • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions
    • Reduction in stock variance trends
    • Improved stock turnover ratio
  • Stock Auditing & PI Counts
    • Participate in perpetual inventory (PI) counts
    • Work with internal and external auditors
    • Support and document stock investigations
    • Keep up‑to‑date reports relevant to stock ownership/responsibility
    • Timely completion of stock counts
    • Audit compliance and satisfactory audit outcomes
    • Monitor progression of plant stock checks
  • Cross‑Functional Communication
    • Communicate updates to relevant departments
    • Liaise with QHSE on returned items
    • Support Production Planning with accurate stock forecasts
    • Liaise with Finance on stock valuation and reconciliations
    • Proactive communication on issues impacting delivery
    • Faster resolution of cross‑department issues
    • On‑time stock availability for production
  • Operational Team Support
    • Distribute daily work and support Team Leaders
    • Cover other roles in Operations & Logistics as needed
    • Train and mentor warehouse and operations staff on SAP transactions and stock accuracy best practices
    • Operational continuity during absences
    • Increased team SAP proficiency
    • Improved departmental stock KPIs
  • Documentation & Quality Control
    • Maintain batch classification information
    • Accompany testing companies and offer support
    • Up‑to‑date and accurate documentation
    • Operational continuity during audits

Experience & Qualifications

  • Good secondary education
  • Computer literacy, good numeric aptitude, attention to detail
  • Minimum 3–5 years in inventory or supply chain control, ideally in a manufacturing or process industry
  • Industrious nature, ability to work well with other team members, able to work well under pressure
  • SAP experience preferred
