Reports directly to the Business Manager.

Represents the organisation at key customers, suppliers and within the Van Leeuwen Group.

Main activities/Responsibilities:

  • Plan and perform your job based on the company’s sales strategy, processes and in accordance with van Leeuwen values.

  • Take responsibility for number of allocated customer accounts.

  • Complete proactive sales activity against set targets.

  • Identify opportunities for growth & new business and contribute to all commercial objectives.

  • Supporting & liaising with relevant external sales team members for development of accounts.

  • Promote good cooperation between the departments to create greater customer value and profitability.

  • Generating / taking / quoting / chasing material enquiries.

  • Order registration and monitor progress.

  • Handle customer complaints & aim for resolution that is best for business.

  • Enter and maintain data on CRM system.

  • Filing and general administration.

  • Accepts extra duties as situations arise.

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven individual to join our sales team! – This role focuses on maximizing sales, identifying new business opportunities, and managing key customer accounts to drive revenue growth. Reporting to the Business Manager, the position involves executing sales strategies, collaborating with external teams, and ensuring efficient communication across departments to enhance customer value. Responsibilities include handling sales inquiries, order management, and resolving customer issues, while maintaining accurate CRM data. Ideal candidates will have B2B sales experience, steel stockholding industry experience, proficiency in SAP and MS Office, and strong communication skills, with a background in sales and fluency in English., * Previous experience in a commercial environment.

  • Knowledge of SAP ERP systems will be an added advantage.

  • Good level of competency in all MS Office applications.

  • Drive and enthusiasm with a will to learn and progress.

  • Proven experience in BTB Sales.

  • Higher education in Sales and/or Marketing.

  • High social competence.

  • Good knowledge in Office, SAP, Sales Force.

  • Fluent in English – speech and writing.

  • Experience of working in the steel stockholding industry is essential
