About the role
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on HR Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality HR and payroll support across the business, managing employee relations and payroll processes while ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation.
Responsibilities
- Act as first point of contact for HR and payroll queries
- Manage employee relations cases (disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance)
- Support line managers and employees in a proactive and hands-on manner
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are up to date and consistently applied
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
- Provide HR data, reports and insights to support decision making
- Payroll processing end to end on a weekly basis
- Conduct right to work checks and support pay negotiations
- Manage the full employee life cycle
- Support the Financial Controller with reporting requirements
- Assist with HR audits
About you
- Proven experience in an HR Advisor role
- Experience with HR Systems (Workday is desirable)
- Payroll experience, including SAGE (essential)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
- CIPD level 3 or above (desirable)
- Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail
- Proactive, flexible and solutions-focused approach
- Effective communication with stakeholder management skills
