Van Gogh Designs is seeking a skilled Upholsterer with a minimum of 3 years of professional upholstery experience. As a leading Canadian furniture manufacturer known for our craftsmanship, quality, and innovation, we are looking for detail-oriented individuals to join our production team. Your skill, precision, and creativity will directly shape the comfort, durability, and aesthetic of our handcrafted furniture.
What You’ll Do
- Upholster furniture frames including sofas, chairs, and headboards
- Measure, cut, stretch, and attach fabrics, leathers, or vinyl to frames
- Apply padding, foam, and batting for optimal comfort and finish
- Use hand and power tools to secure materials with tacks, staples, and adhesives
- Repair, replace, or reupholster frames and cushions as required
- Maintain high standards of quality control throughout production
- Collaborate with sewing and cutting teams to ensure workflow efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2-3 years of professional upholstery experience
- Skilled in fabric cutting, pattern matching, and finishing techniques
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Proficiency with pneumatic staplers, tack hammers, and other upholstery tools
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy frames and materials
- Attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
