We have exciting opportunities for Technicians to join the UK’s largest and most diverse geotechnical and ground engineering contractor. The role will be challenging, demanding, varied and a fantastic opportunity to begin your career alongside the support offered from our vastly experienced team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Getting out and about, gathering geotechnical and geoenvironmental data from a wide range of work environments across the UK.
- Support team members in the management of geotechnical project data.
- Assist with various field activities to enable the assessment and analysis of geotechnical conditions and investigations.
- Playing a key role in the preparation and processing of samples for laboratory testing of soil and rock samples.
- Facilitating good project management practices.
- Take a proactive approach in the responsibility for Health and Safety.
- Reflect and promote Van Elle company values through your work and conduct.
Who we’re looking for:
- IT competent in Microsoft packages.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work effectively to deadlines and under pressure.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy of work.
- Effective planning and organisation skills.
- A problem-solving attitude.
- Have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and work within the relevant legal and safety regulations.
- Experience in construction or other ground-related industries [preferable].
- Experience driving larger vehicles such as 4x4s and vans [preferable].
- Valid CSCS [preferable].
Other Requirements:
- Eligible to work and live in the UK.
- Flexibility to travel in the UK.
- A full driving licence, that is valid in the UK (essential).

- Hours of work are 7.30am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday however flexibility is required.
