We have an exciting opportunity for Piling Operatives, with all levels of experience, to join the UK’s largest and most diverse geotechnical and ground engineering contractor.
What you'll be doing
- Work as part of our specialist helical piling (Screwfast) team for all site activities, before, during and after piling activities.
- Liaise and take instructions from your supervisor in a professional manner.
- Support project team and supervisor in efficient delivery of the project.
- Review and understand all method statements and risk assessments relating to the project.
- Be familiar with daily/piling tasks and project specific safety rules, policies and procedures ensuring adherence to them.
- Be familiar with and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health and Safety Policy.
- Ensure that near misses, accidents, incidents and other safety concerns are promptly reported at the appropriate level.
- Conduct self in a way that reflects and promotes the Van Elle company values.
- Understand and act in accordance with Van Elle’s policies and procedures.
- Any other tasks that you may reasonably be required to undertake.
Who we're looking for
- Proven relevant experience in construction or civil engineering, as well as appropriate health and safety training.
- Previous experience would be beneficial; however training will be provided depending on experience.
- Strong work ethic and punctuality.
Other Requirements:
- Eligible to work and live in the UK.
- Flexibility to travel in the UK.
- A full driving licence, that is valid in the UK (desirable).
- Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) card.
