Job Overview
As an Editorial Content Creator, you will be responsible for crafting compelling, well-researched, and engaging content for a variety of channels, including websites, blogs, social media, newsletters, and more. You'll play a key role in developing our content strategy, ensuring that all content aligns with the brand's voice, tone, and objectives while resonating with our target audience.
You should be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and have a passion for storytelling. Whether you're writing long-form articles, social media posts, or email campaigns, your content will drive our brand forward and contribute to the overall success of our marketing and editorial efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, write, and edit original content for various digital platforms, including websites, blogs, social media, newsletters, and marketing collateral – both for B2C and B2B audiences.
- Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to ensure content supports business goals and enhances brand identity.
- Develop editorial calendars and content strategies in line with key initiatives and seasonal campaigns.
- Ensure all content is optimised for SEO, readability, and audience engagement.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, topics, and competitor activities to create relevant and timely content.
- Proofread and edit content for grammar, spelling, clarity, brand tone of voice, and style consistency.
- Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) to track the performance of content and adapt strategies for better engagement.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, offering creative ideas for new content types and formats.
- Maintain and evolve the editorial voice and style guide to ensure consistency across all content.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a content writer, copywriter, or editorial content creator.
- Strong portfolio of writing samples that demonstrate versatility and creativity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail.
- Ability to research and understand complex topics and present them in a clear, engaging, and accessible manner.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience with optimising web content.
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, HubSpot) and social media platforms.
- Proficiency in using content creation and editing tools (e.g., Google Docs, Grammarly, Canva; Adobe Creative Suite is a plus).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
