Van den Bosch is looking for an Area Sales Manager, specialized in developing new business on the UK market. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding our commercial activities and strengthening our market position in the field of (intermodal) bulk transport within the UK region.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities, develop strategic customer relationships, and actively contribute to the further growth of our network.
  • Help us develop our European network and drive future growth in our continuously growing global Deepsea network.
  • Monitor market developments, analyze sales potential and customer needs across existing and emerging segments.
  • Based on insights, identify relevant markets and potential partnerships, translating commercial strategies into actionable steps.
  • Contact potential customers (cold calling) and visit them to land new business.
  • Represent the organization at external events, trade fairs, and conferences, increasing visibility in the market and supporting long‑term strategic goals.
  • Report directly to Director of Business Development and work closely with the international Commercial team.

Qualifications

  • A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Commercial Economics, or Transport and Logistics.
  • Experience in intermodal bulk logistics is a must, affinity with the beer, wine and spirits industry is a big plus.
  • Residing in the UK and willing to travel throughout UK.
  • Proficient in English language.
  • You are entrepreneurial, result‑driven, independent and have strong commercial skills.
