The Role
As an Associate Communications Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the technical delivery of secure end to end radio solutions in a multi-bearer, mobile environment from high level design to deliver and transition to service. Day-to-day, you'll be working in a varied, fast paced, and exciting environment providing support towards technical delivery of innovative solutions that will transition into service.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Reviewing designs and taking existing documents and reading across system requirements to validate the design and produce test documentation
- Creating and running test plans and schedules contributing towards test strategy decisions
- Working with other parts of QinetiQ, customers, and subcontractors to integrate technology into wider systems
- Identifying and resolving technical issues by using your own knowledge or seeking others knowledge to solve problems
- Producing clear and concise documentation appropriate to the project or recipient
Essential Experience Of The Associate Communications Integration Engineer
- An Engineering background with an understanding of requirements capture, integrations planning and testing
- Previous experience in communications within industry or the Armed Forces
- Familiarity with the operation and integration of equipment within communication systems
- The ability to work collaboratively within teams and be self motivated
- Knowledge of communication systems
- The ability to work with stakeholders and deliver demonstrations to customers
Essential Qualifications For The Associate Communications Integration Engineer
- Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
This role is 37 hours per week based at PTP, Portsmouth. Hybrid working patterns are available. Portsmouth Technology Park (PTP) is one of QinetiQ's key facilities, focusing on advanced technology development and engineering services. It is dedicated to research and development, ensuring that complex systems are designed, integrated, and tested effectively to meet operational requirements.
