This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled AI specialist and full-stack developer to join as Full stack Developer / CTO, take the technical lead, and own the design and build of all technology across the company. You will spearhead the architecture and development of our AI-powered taxi software platform and mobile apps, leading the full product lifecycle from backend data acquisition to frontend delivery.

You will be responsible for all AI and machine learning initiatives, building intelligent automation, recommendation systems, and data-driven features across our SaaS platform. You'll work closely with the founding team to define and execute the technical roadmap, from R-and-D through to live deployment, ensuring best practices across staging, security, scalability, and rapid iteration.

This is a full-time, Full stack Developer position, with a significant equity stake (1–15%).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of Vamos's AI-powered taxi software platform and mobile applications (driver and rider).
• Develop, train, and implement AI/ML models, including data acquisition, preprocessing, and deployment.
• Architect scalable backend systems on modern cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar), including database and API management.
• Own the full-stack development process, using backend languages and modern front-end frameworks (React, React Native, or similar).
• Build and manage robust staging, testing, and production environments.
• Integrate AI agents and automation to enhance customer experience, pricing, dispatching, ETA accuracy, routing, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure security, privacy, and compliance across all digital systems.
• Implement agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) with regular sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Collaborate closely with founders to define technical vision and product strategy.
• Build and lead the technical team as we scale.
• Take full responsibility for data acquisition, management, and analysis—leveraging real-time mobility, telematics, traffic, geospatial, and customer data to drive insights and product features.
• Deliver rapid prototyping and MVPs, followed by robust, scalable SaaS solutions for both B2C and B2B markets.

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Skills

• Full-stack development (front-end experience with React/React Native or similar and backend PHP, Java, etc).
• Experience with SWIFT, iOS and Android apps.
• Proven AWS/cloud skills (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
• Experience with staging, CI/CD, and agile delivery.
• Data acquisition, cleaning, and real-time processing at scale.
• Strong understanding of security, privacy, and regulatory best practices.
• B2C marketplace and/or B2B SaaS experience highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of building scalable, high-availability platforms.
• Familiarity with Stripe (or similar) payments, mobility/transport data APIs (maps, traffic, telematics), and third-party integrations (bonus).
• Proactive leader able to operate autonomously and drive innovation.

Bonus Skills

• Ideally experience in taxi/ride-hailing/mobility or fleet/dispatch software, but not mandatory.
• Prior experience building or launching platforms in mobility, transportation, logistics, or on-demand marketplaces.
• Familiarity with mobility-specific data sources and regulatory environments (e.g., TfL/TLC compliance, GTFS/MaaS, telematics integrations).
