About Valuing Futures

Valuing Futures is a specialist solo residential children's home that provides care for children and young people male/female aged 8 years to 18 years, who display emotional, behavioural, and complex needs. We provide 24 hours 2:1 staffing trauma-informed, therapeutic care in a nurturing environment, where children feel safe, have stability, are supported, and empowered to thrive to enable them to achieve the best outcomes.

The Role

As a Male Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people in their daily lives, helping them build confidence, independence, and positive routines. You will create a safe and structured environment while promoting education, wellbeing, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and safeguard young people within a therapeutic residential setting, to meet the child, young person's care, behavioural and risk plans.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships and act as a strong role model.
  • Encourage participation in education, daily routines, and life skills development.
  • Support young people with emotional wellbeing, behaviour management, and independence.
  • Plan and engage young people in meaningful activities and routines.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding, care standards and the children's regulations (2015).
  • Provide practical guidance around finances, daily living, and personal development.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children and young people in residential care, youth work, education, or similar settings.
  • Passionate, caring, and resilient with strong communication skills.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare or Health & Social Care preferred (training provided if not qualified).
  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
  • Enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks required.
