A Business Analyst is a client-facing role that will orchestrate solution implementations leveraging core Business Analysis skills, domain, and functional understanding in coordination with the entire team. The analyst will first understand the solution, tools, technology landscape, and architecture of the solution to comprehend the data flows, user roles, and business features/needs in scope.
The responsibilities include:
- Planning activities, reviewing the plan, task breakdown, scheduling, and detailing outcomes.
- Staying updated on the latest developments in the insurance industry relevant to the allocated project/client.
- Experience and knowledge of Ceded Reinsurance in the P&C Insurance Domain with Underwriting workbench.
- Conducting analysis, documentation, presentation, and communication of high quality.
- Implementing software solutions using established Insurance software products or customized software solutions.
- Implementing various business features and transactions: Policy Administration, Rating, Underwriting, Claims, Reinsurance of various insurance products.
- Engaging with Insurance IT, Business teams, and all internal and external stakeholders involved in implementations and rollout to determine business requirements.
- Configuring rating logic and business rules along with patterns of business logic.
- Performing functional testing of the solution to troubleshoot and identify issues quickly, reporting to respective stakeholders and tracking to closure during development and before deployment.
- Demonstrating the solution, discussing scope changes to determine impact analysis, and engaging with UAT users to assist in completing UAT.
- Providing detailed walkthroughs of the system requirements, closely working with technical associates on project development activities, reviewing test cases, assisting in closing the QA cycle, and providing knowledge transfer to other team members.
- Informing about criticality, impact, risks, and priority as part of change management.
