A Business Analyst is a client-facing role that will orchestrate solution implementations leveraging core Business Analysis skills, domain, and functional understanding in coordination with the entire team. The role involves:
- Understanding the solution, tools, technology landscape, and architecture to comprehend data flows, user roles, and business features/needs in scope.
- Planning activities, reviewing plans, task breakdown, scheduling, and detailing outcomes.
- Staying updated on relevant insurance industry changes for the allocated project/client.
- Experience and knowledge of Ceded Reinsurance in the P&C Insurance Domain with Underwriting workbench and Finance transformations.
- Engaging with Insurance IT, Business teams, and all internal and external stakeholders to determine business requirements and ensure development aligns with requirements and scope.
- Configuring rating logic and business rules along with patterns of business logic.
- Performing functional testing of the solution to troubleshoot and identify issues quickly, reporting to respective stakeholders, and tracking to closure during development and before deployment.
- Demonstrating the solution, discussing scope changes to determine impact analysis, and engaging with UAT users to assist in completing UAT.
- Providing detailed walkthroughs of system requirements, closely working with technical associates on project development activities, reviewing test cases, and assisting in closing the QA cycle.
- Informing about criticality, impact, risks, and priority as part of change management.
