A Business Analyst is a client-facing role that will orchestrate solution implementations leveraging core Business Analysis skills, domain, and functional understanding in coordination with the entire team. He/She will first understand the solution, tools, technology landscape, and architecture of the solution to understand the data flows, user roles, business features/needs in scope, etc.
He/She will then perform the activity of planning his/her activities, reviewing the plan, task breakdown, scheduling, and detailing the outcomes from each. He/She will ensure relevant and latest updates in the insurance industry for geography relevant to the allocated project/client are known to him/her and utilised during implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience and knowledge of Ceded Reinsurance in the P&C Insurance Domain with Underwriting workbench and Finance transformations.
- Business Analyst with some delivery ownership.
- Analysis, documentation, presentation, and communication should be detailed where required and of high quality.
- Experience in implementing software solutions using established Insurance software products or customised software solutions.
- Experience in implementing various business features and transactions: Policy Administration, Rating, Underwriting, Claims, Reinsurance of various insurance products.
- Engage with Insurance IT, Business teams, and all internal and external stakeholders involved in implementations and rollout to determine business requirements, and to ensure the development is in line with the requirements and scope.
- Configure/provide configuration of rating logic and business rules along with patterns of business logic.
- Perform functional testing of the solution to troubleshoot and identify issues quickly, report to respective stakeholders, and track to closure during development and before deployment.
- Demonstrate the solution, discuss scope changes to determine the impact analysis; engage with UAT users to assist in completing the UAT.
- Provide detailed walkthroughs of the system requirement, closely work with technical associates on project development activities, review test cases, and assist in closing QA cycle, and provide knowledge transfer to other team members.
- As part of change management, inform the criticality, impact, risks, and priority.
