Job Title: Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer Location: South East England (Thames Valley / Home Counties / London) Salary: £50,000–£55,000 basic (OTE £65,000–£75,000 Type: Full-Time, Permanent The Opportunity A fast-growing, stable company is looking to expand its engineering team. We’re currently seeking a skilled and self-motivated Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer based in the Thames Valley / Home Counties region. We also have oppurtunities covering London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a supportive and technically strong team, with exposure to critical infrastructure and blue-chip clients. What You’ll Be Doing: * Service, maintenance and repair of cooling systems across data centres, commercial HQs, and occasional retail sites * Working with a range of equipment including chillers, CRAC units, AHUs, and pump systems * Occasional installation and project-based work * Producing detailed written reports and maintaining strong client communication * Participating in a 1-in-6-week on-call rota What We’re Looking For: * Time-served apprenticeship in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning * NVQ / City & Guilds qualifications highly desirable * C&G 2079 for refrigerant handling (F-Gas certified) * Experience with chillers and preferably hydrocarbons * Comfortable working independently and in critical environments * Willingness to support both mechanical/electrical and control systems * Full UK Driving Licence What’s on Offer: * £50,000–£55,000 basic salary * OTE £65,000–£75,000 (door to door travel paid) * Company van fuel card (personal use included) * 28 days holiday bank holidays * 5% employer pension contribution * Private medical insurance * Bi-annual bonus scheme * £150 per week on-call standby * Minimum 4 hours paid per callout at overtime rate What You’ll Gain: * Work on a wide range of plant types and major manufacturers * Exposure to data centre environments and national infrastructure sites * Mentorship from a highly experienced team * Development opportunities in areas like SMSTS, TM44, electrical testing, and client-facing leadership * Training support, including higher education pathways if desired * A collaborative company culture focused on balance and long-term growth Ready to Apply?
