Value Education is recruiting for a Young Offender Behaviour Mentor to work with young people aged between 4 and 12 who are receiving their education in a Primary School setting in the Salford area.
About the school
The work will require you to be based within a school setting. You will offer guidance and support both in the classroom and with their social and emotional development.
Responsibilities
- Support young people to access education, as they will often be very disengaged from school life.
- Provide support to manage behaviour and promote engagement.
- Work in partnership with teachers, parents and external agencies.
Qualifications
- Be resilient.
- Have an up-to-date Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one.
- Be able to demonstrate empathy.
- Have a passion to change young people's lives for the better.
- Have an understanding of social, emotional and mental health issues.
Working hours
8:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
