We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join a warm and welcoming primary school in Wigan. As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons across EYFS, KS1, or KS2, supporting pupils' academic progress, confidence and personal development within a nurturing learning environment.
Primary Teacher Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
- Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND.
- Assessing, monitoring and tracking pupil progress.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and promoting positive learning attitudes.
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEN staff and parents/carers.
- Ensuring safeguarding, welfare and school policies are followed at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
Must-have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in a UK primary school setting.
- Strong classroom management and curriculum knowledge.
- Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
- Sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND or additional needs.
- Ability to adapt teaching styles to suit different learning abilities.
