About the role
We are looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in the Manchester area. Whether you are starting a career as a Teaching Assistant or have past experience, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons
- Supporting children on a group and 1-1 basis
- Leading interventions and occasional class cover
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Follow school policies and ensure continuity of learning
- Collaborate with school staff and contribute to a supportive team culture
A Teaching Assistant KS1 requirements:
- Previous experience as a KS1 Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential
- Required to have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification
- Outstanding communication skills
- Inspirational role model who is highly motivated and reliable
- Confident in working with children on a 1:1 or group basis
- Able to commute to Manchester
- Able to provide an Enhanced DBS check or be willing to put one into process
