About the role

We are looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in the Manchester area. Whether you are starting a career as a Teaching Assistant or have past experience, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons
  • Supporting children on a group and 1-1 basis
  • Leading interventions and occasional class cover
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Follow school policies and ensure continuity of learning
  • Collaborate with school staff and contribute to a supportive team culture

A Teaching Assistant KS1 requirements:

  • Previous experience as a KS1 Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential
  • Required to have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Inspirational role model who is highly motivated and reliable
  • Confident in working with children on a 1:1 or group basis
  • Able to commute to Manchester
  • Able to provide an Enhanced DBS check or be willing to put one into process
