Location: Specialist SEN School, Bolton
Contract: ADHOCK-CONTRACT IF WANTED
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am β 3:30pm (term-time only)
Pay Rate: Β£95 β Β£110 per day (dependent on experience)
The Role:
Value Education is seeking a confident and resilient Learning Support Worker to join a welcoming SEN school in Bolton, supporting children with Autism (ASC), PMLD, and complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, following EHCPs and IEPs.
Use sensory strategies, PECS, or Makaton to aid communication.
Assist with personal care and mobility needs (where required).
Work closely with teachers and therapists to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Manage challenging behaviours with patience and resilience.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience supporting children or adults with SEN, ASC, or PMLD (in schools, care, or similar settings).
Team Teach trained (desirable, but training can be provided for the right candidate).
Confident, adaptable, and compassionate β able to build trust with pupils.
Available full-time from June 2nd until end of summer term.
