Value Education are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in Primary Schools in the Rochdale area. The ideal candidates will have a passion for education, supporting children with additional needs, and be committed to helping each child in the most effective way depending on the individual needs.
Teaching Assistant Duties:
- Assist the Class Teacher in preparing work for the lesson ahead
- Assist with group activities
- Work with children on a 1:1 and group basis
- Provide additional support to children with a range of SEN needs
- Tailor lesson plans to individual needs
- Work inside and outside the classroom
- Work effectively under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
- Support pupils with personal care needs when appropriate
Requirements:
- Confident in communicating with parents, pupils and members of staff
- Able to handle difficult situations and behaviour efficiently
- Experience working with additional needs in a school setting (or similar)
