The Role
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other education professionals to support pupils in their learning, development and wellbeing.
- Depending on the school and setting, your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis.
- Assisting with classroom activities and learning programmes.
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs and SEND.
- Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
- Working alongside teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Providing pastoral and behavioural support where required.
- Supporting pupils with their academic, emotional and personal development.
- Helping to prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
- Contributing to pupils' progress and maintaining appropriate records.
- We Are Looking For
We would love to hear from candidates who have
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils to achieve their potential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy and a positive approach.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a school team.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
- Experience of SEND is particularly welcomed for our specialist roles.
