Value Education are looking for enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistants to work in KS1 in the Bolton area. The ideal candidates will have a passion for education, supporting children with additional needs, and be committed to helping each child in the most effective way depending on the individual needs.

Teaching Assistant Duties

  • Assist the Class Teacher in preparing work for the lesson ahead
  • Assist with group activities
  • Work with children on a 1:1 and group basis
  • Provide additional support to children with a range of SEN needs
  • Tailor lesson plans to individual needs
  • Work inside and outside the classroom
  • Work effectively under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
  • Support pupils with personal care needs when appropriate

Requirements

  • Confident in communicating with parents, pupils and members of staff
  • Able to handle difficult situations and behaviour efficiently
  • Experience working with additional needs in a school setting (or similar)
