As a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, the VTS is committed to fairness, independence, service excellence and the effective stewardship of public funds.
The VTS is seeking an experienced, strategic and values-led leader to join the organisation as Chief Executive Officer. In this pivotal role, this person will provide strategic and operational leadership of the VTS, ensuring it delivers high-quality, efficient and impartial administrative support to the VTE while upholding the Tribunal’s judicial independence.
This person will be the Accounting Officer for the organisation, responsible for governance, financial management and organisational performance. They will work closely with the VTS Chair and Board, the VTE President, and the sponsor department to set and deliver clear strategic priorities, drive continuous improvement and oversee the modernisation of systems and services, including digital transformation.
This is a significant leadership opportunity to shape the future of the VTS, balancing operational grip with long-term vision, and ensuring value for money for the taxpayer. The VTS is looking for a senior leader with a strong track record of leading complex service-delivery organisations, in public or private service delivery environments.
This person will bring substantial experience of working with boards and senior stakeholders, strong financial and governance capability, and a collaborative, inclusive leadership style aligned with the VTS’s values of independence, integrity, service and value.
