We are a small team of designers and developers, and most of our work still arrives through somebody who already knew us. This role is the other half of that. You find the businesses who would be glad to hear from us, work out what they actually need, and put our design and development work in front of them.
There is no base pay. You earn 15% of what a client you brought in spends with us, and 20% on any sale over Β£1,000. The 15% is where we start. Come with a network or a record of closing, tell us, and we agree your rate before you start. Whatever we agree goes in writing.
There is no commitment to hours. None at all. Nobody expects you online at a set time, you owe us no minimum, and a quiet month costs you a quiet month and nothing else. That makes it work alongside a full-time job, and it makes it work for a student. Sell from anywhere in the United Kingdom, on the hours that suit you.
What you would do
- Answer the enquiries that come in, and start conversations with businesses who have never heard of us.
- Run the call. Twenty minutes on video, finding out what the business needs before anybody says a price.
- Write the proposal with us. You will never be inventing scope on your own.
- Follow up. Most of the work lives here, and most people skip it.
- Tell us when a client's timing does not fit what the studio can take on, so nobody promises a launch we cannot hit.
What we are looking for
- Selling you can describe: how you qualify a lead, how you keep an opportunity moving, how you close it.
- The customer-service half of the job. Trust, awkward questions answered straight, and clients who come back.
- Clear writing and clear speaking, with clients and with us.
- Enough of a feel for capacity to match what a client wants against what a small studio can deliver.
- Comfort working out of an inbox, a video call and a CRM, with nobody in the room.
- Self-direction. Nobody here will be checking whether you worked today.
- B2B sales, an agency or technology services behind you. Useful, and not required.
Who it suits
- Somebody with a full-time job who wants a second line of income that does not block out their evenings.
- A student who would rather learn to sell on real work than in a module.
- Anyone with a network among small businesses, restaurants, trades or clinics.
- People anywhere in the United Kingdom, working the hours that suit them.
You need the right to work in the United Kingdom. We cannot sponsor a visa, and you look after your own tax.
What you get
- 15% of the sale as standard, 20% over Β£1,000, and your rate agreed in writing before you start
- No hours, no minimum, no rota. A quiet month costs you nothing
- Work from anywhere in the United Kingdom, on whatever hours you keep
- We write the proposals and do the work, so you are selling something you can stand behind
- Somebody here to ask, by name
