About Fluent Software Group
Fluent Software Group is part of Valsoft Corporation's family of vertical market software businesses, focused on building specialized, reliable software solutions for targeted industries. We balance product innovation with operational dependability. We operate a portfolio of vertical market software businesses across Europe and North America. We are building an Enterprise Voice AI Agent to power service delivery for one of our Netherlands-based portfolio companies and their clients at scale.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Dutch-speaking AI Developer based in Canada to own the ongoing development and scaling of the Enterprise Voice AI Agent — built to serve one of our Netherlands-based portfolio companies and their clients. In this role, you will build and evolve a production voice AI system that processes real customer interactions at enterprise volume. You will work directly with stakeholders at our portfolio company — in Dutch — to gather requirements, refine agent behaviour, and ensure the platform meets the operational needs of their business and their clients. Dutch language proficiency is a hard requirement. You will be the primary technical point of contact for our Dutch-speaking portfolio company, conducting discussions, writing documentation, and communicating updates in Dutch as part of your daily work.
What You'll Do
- Voice Agent Development & Ownership
- Own end-to-end development of the Enterprise Voice AI Agent: architecture, features, integrations, and ongoing maintenance
- Build and tune AI voice agent pipelines — including speech recognition, natural language understanding, dialogue management, and text-to-speech
- Develop and maintain the frontend (React/Next.js) and backend (Node.js/Python) components of the platform
- Integrate the voice agent with the portfolio company's existing systems (CRMs, telephony platforms, APIs) and their clients' infrastructure
- Maintain a prioritized backlog and drive features and improvements to production independently
- Client Collaboration (in Dutch)
- Serve as the main technical liaison with the portfolio company — conducting requirements sessions, reviews, and status updates in Dutch
- Translate the portfolio company's business needs into technical specifications and working software
- Write client-facing documentation, release notes, and user guides in Dutch
- Manage expectations proactively and communicate timelines, risks, and decisions clearly
- Agentic AI & Continuous Improvement
- Design and integrate AI agents to automate testing, debugging, performance monitoring, and feature prototyping
- Supervise agentic AI outputs to ensure they align with product goals, code standards, and security requirements
- Continuously improve platform reliability, call handling quality, and voice agent performance
- Apply AI tools to documentation, observability, and operational workflows
Success Looks Like
- The Enterprise Voice AI Agent handles call volume reliably for our portfolio company, with high containment rates and strong client satisfaction
- Portfolio company stakeholders communicate smoothly with the development team, in Dutch, with minimal friction or delays
- New features and client requirements move from brief to production rapidly and predictably
- The platform scales cleanly to support additional clients across the portfolio
- Agentic AI workflows are a standard part of the development and QA process
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Professional Dutch language proficiency — written and spoken (this is a non-negotiable requirement)
- 1–3 years of professional software development experience, or equivalent strong project-based work
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript
- Experience building production applications with React and Next.js (routing, SSR/SSG, API routes, data fetching)
- Backend experience with Node.js and/or Python (REST APIs, authentication, third-party integrations)
- Working knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB), including schema design and querying
- Familiarity with testing practices and frameworks (Jest, Playwright, or Cypress)
- Comfortable with Git, pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows
- Solid understanding of web fundamentals: HTTP, authentication, caching, security, and performance
- Interest in and basic experience with AI-assisted or agentic development workflows
Preferred
- Experience working with voice AI platforms, telephony APIs, or conversational AI systems (e.g., Twilio, Vocode, Deepgram, ElevenLabs, Rasa)
- Experience with LLM integration and prompt engineering in production systems
- Experience designing, building, or supervising agentic AI tools in a software development context
- Experience deploying and operating apps on cloud platforms (Vercel, AWS, GCP, Azure, or Docker)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, logging, monitoring, and automated testing
- Familiarity with the Dutch business and enterprise software landscape
About the Team
We are a small, product-focused team that ships frequently and iterates fast. Our environment is lightweight, collaborative, and supportive, with direct communication and minimal process. You will have real ownership of outcomes and a direct line to stakeholders. This role is ideal for a developer who is energized by building something new, working closely with an enterprise client, and exploring the frontier of voice AI — while maintaining the quality and reliability that production systems demand.
