You will be responsible for delivering solar PV installation works to a high standard, ensuring all work is completed safely, correctly, and in line with current regulations and MCS requirements. The position will involve electrical installation work on solar PV systems, supporting compliance across each project, checking that materials are available when needed, and helping maintain a smooth and organised delivery on site. You will be expected to work confidently on live projects, manage your own workload, and uphold quality standards throughout the install process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out solar PV electrical installations on site
  • Ensuring all works are completed in line with compliance and MCS standards
  • Supporting testing, inspection, and commissioning where required
  • Ordering and managing materials needed for installs
  • Liaising with site teams and internal contacts to keep projects moving
  • Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, safety, and organisation

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who has hands-on solar PV experience and can work independently in a contract environment. You should be confident with the practical side of install work, while also understanding the importance of compliance, quality, and proper site preparation. Experience with material ordering is important, as this role is not just about fitting systems but also helping make sure jobs are properly planned and delivered.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Solar PV Electrician
  • Strong understanding of MCS standards and electrical compliance
  • Experience ordering materials and preparing for installs
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • 18th Edition
  • ECS or JIB Gold Card
  • Full UK driving licence preferred

Desirable

  • 2391 Testing and Inspection
  • Solar PV qualification or relevant renewables experience
  • Experience on domestic and small commercial solar projects
