Electrical Contracts Manager

Location: Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire — office and site based

Salary: Competitive package, dependent on experience

Employment: Full-time, permanent

Benefits: Company vehicle, fuel card, pension and five weeks' annual leave plus bank holidays

Lead the projects. Set the standards. Shape the business.

Valoris Group is recruiting an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager for a renewable energy contractor delivering solar PV, battery storage and EV charging projects.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of project delivery and make a direct impact on how the business operates. You'll combine commercial responsibility with technical leadership, managing contracts from handover to completion while helping develop the teams, processes and installation standards behind them.

If you're an established electrical contracts manager with a strong renewables background and enjoy having the authority and accountability to deliver projects properly, this role offers significant scope to contribute.

Your role

You'll oversee multiple live projects, bringing together programmes, budgets, procurement, labour and subcontractors to deliver safe, compliant and profitable installations. Working closely with clients, site teams and senior management, you'll maintain momentum, resolve issues and ensure a smooth transition from planning through commissioning and final handover.

Commercial ownership will be a key part of your remit. You'll monitor costs and margins, manage variations, support valuations and final accounts, and provide practical input into estimating and future projects.

Alongside contracts delivery, you'll act as the company's NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor and MCS Technical Supervisor. You'll oversee electrical and renewable installation standards, review designs and certification, support assessments and guide electricians and installers through technical challenges.

Your time will be split between the office and sites, giving you direct involvement in both project performance and installation quality.

What you'll bring

We're looking for a fully qualified electrician with proven electrical contracts management experience and substantial hands‑on knowledge of solar PV, battery storage and EV charging.

You’ll already be confident managing budgets, programmes, teams and subcontractors, with a clear understanding of commercial performance. Strong inspection, testing and certification experience is essential, together with the technical competence to undertake NICEIC QS and MCS Technical Supervisor responsibilities.

You’ll need:

  • A recognised electrical apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, or equivalent qualifications.
  • An 18th Edition qualification and an appropriate Inspection and Testing qualification.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Previous appointment as a NICEIC QS or MCS Technical Supervisor would be highly advantageous. Commercial renewables experience, electrical design knowledge and familiarity with DNO liaison and G98/G99 applications would also strengthen your application.

Above all, you’ll be an organised, commercially aware leader who can make sound decisions, communicate clearly and take responsibility for delivery.

What's on offer

An experience-led remuneration package, company vehicle and fuel card, pension, and five weeks' annual leave plus bank holidays.

You’ll join in a senior position with the opportunity to influence technical standards, develop installation teams and help shape the business's operational direction.

We’re keen to hear from experienced managers who want to combine commercial ownership with practical technical leadership
