About the Role
We are seeking a technically skilled Solar Thermal Engineer to join a specialist renewable energy team. This is not a standard plumbing role the successful candidate will be a problem-solver with the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex issues in solar thermal systems.
While the primary focus will be on solar thermal installations and maintenance, there will also be opportunities to work on air source heat pumps and other renewable heating solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, service, and repair solar thermal systems to the highest standards.
Diagnose and resolve technical faults efficiently and effectively.
Conduct routine maintenance and performance optimisation of renewable heating systems.
Support the integration of solar thermal with heat pump technologies.
Work closely with customers to ensure satisfaction and optimal system performance.
Maintain accurate records in line with industry regulations.
Requirements
Proven technical experience in solar thermal systems (installation, commissioning, and servicing).
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, BPEC, or equivalent).
Experience with heat pumps is advantageous.
Full UK driving licence.
Based within a 12-mile radius of Horsham, West Sussex.
