Overview
We are working with a well‑established and growing renewable energy contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Solar PV Electrician to support their expanding project pipeline. This role offers the opportunity to work on commercial and industrial Solar PV installations across Northampton and the surrounding regions, delivering high‑quality renewable energy systems for a range of commercial clients. You will be responsible for the installation, testing and commissioning of Solar PV systems, ensuring all work is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with current electrical standards. The company also offers ongoing training and development for electricians who are looking to further their career within the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of commercial rooftop Solar PV systems
- Electrical wiring, containment and inverter installation
- Testing, inspection and commissioning of Solar PV systems
- Fault finding and maintenance where required
- Ensuring all work complies with current electrical regulations
- Working closely with roofing teams and site managers on projects
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent
- Experience within commercial electrical installations
- ECS Gold Card preferred
- BPEC Solar PV qualification advantageous
- Full UK Driving Licence
