Requirement: 1 Engineer per location

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Working Pattern: 4 days per week, Monday to Thursday

Hours: 12:00pm to 10:00pm, with a 1-hour break

Optional 5th day available for additional earnings

Valoris Group Limited is partnering with a major UK contractor on the mobilisation of a large-scale, 5-year electrical compliance programme. This is a long-term, secure opportunity for experienced Commercial Electricians or Electrical Test Engineers based in either Leeds or Northampton who want consistent work, structured earnings, and genuine stability. You will be working across commercial sites within your allocated region, delivering pre-planned electrical compliance works as part of a major national rollout.

The Role

  • Completing Electrical Installation Condition Reports, EICRs
  • Carrying out commercial inspection and testing
  • Undertaking emergency lighting testing
  • Completing thermal imaging surveys, with training provided
  • Identifying faults and completing minor remedial works
  • Supporting planned preventative maintenance and compliance checks
  • Providing clear reports and practical recommendations
  • Ensuring all works are completed safely, accurately, and in line with current regulations

This is a structured role with organised workloads, clear targets, and strong earning potential.

Working Pattern

  • Monday to Thursday
  • 12:00pm to 10:00pm
  • 1-hour break
  • 4-day working week
  • Optional 5th day available
  • Mix of in-hours and out-of-hours commercial works
  • Enhanced evening rates after 6:00pm
  • Travel and working away may be required depending on contract requirements

Earnings and Package

  • Basic salary of £45,000 to £48,000
  • Realistic OTE of £63,000 to £69,000+
  • Enhanced evening rates after 6:00pm
  • £20 per day bonus for hitting targets
  • Overtime paid at enhanced rates
  • Double time for weekends and night work where applicable
  • £40 per night when working away

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Proven commercial electrical experience
  • Strong EICR, inspection, and testing background
  • Experience completing Electrical Installation Condition Reports

  • Good understanding of current electrical regulations and codes of practice
  • Ability to work safely, efficiently, and to agreed targets
  • Flexibility to travel and work away where required
  • Full UK driving licence

Preferred Qualifications

  • City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • ECS or JIB card
  • Commercial testing and inspection experience
  • Thermal imaging experience would be beneficial, although training can be provided
