Valoris Group is recruiting four experienced Commercial Heating Engineers for a major refurbishment programme across three schools in Hartlepool.
Responsibilities
- Replacing radiators and associated commercial heating components
- Installing and modifying commercial heating pipework
- Completing plant room and boiler room installation works
- Installing pumps, valves, cylinders and associated equipment
- Supporting heat pump and renewable heating installations
- Working from mechanical drawings and project specifications
- Pressure testing, flushing and preparing systems for commissioning
- Working alongside site management, electricians and other trades
- Completing works safely and within the project programme
- Maintaining a professional standard while working within school environments
Essential Requirements
- Recognised plumbing or heating qualification
- Strong commercial heating installation experience
- Previous plant room or boiler room experience
- Experience replacing commercial radiators and pipework
- Valid CSCS or relevant trade card
- Own tools and appropriate PPE
- Ability to read mechanical drawings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider site team
- Willingness to complete the required DBS checks
Desirable Experience
- Air source heat pump installations
- Commercial heat pump systems
- Renewable heating projects
- School or public-sector refurbishment projects
- Low-temperature heating systems
- System flushing, pressure testing and commissioning support
An Enhanced DBS is preferred due to the project taking place across school sites. Selected candidates may initially be required to complete a standard DBS, with an Enhanced DBS completed where necessary before pupils return.
Extended working days or shift patterns may be available to help complete the programme within the required timescale.
