The Role

As a Solar Panel Roofer, you will be responsible for installing Solar PV systems on domestic rooftops while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with electrical engineers and installation teams to deliver high-quality solar installations across residential properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install Solar PV panels and mounting systems on domestic rooftops
  • Carry out snagging work and resolve installation issues when required
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on existing solar installations
  • Work closely with technical support teams to resolve complex issues
  • Ensure all installations are completed within agreed project timeframes
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Ensure all installations comply with relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Complete accurate job documentation and records
  • Follow all health and safety procedures when working at height and on site

Requirements

  • Proven roofing experience (experience with Solar PV installations desirable)
  • Good understanding of Solar PV systems and components
  • Experience carrying out snagging work and fault diagnosis
  • Ability to work safely at height
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to the Chorley area
