About the Role
Valoris Group Limited is recruiting on behalf of a growing heating and renewable energy company that is looking for an experienced Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer to support its domestic service and maintenance division. This is a contract opportunity suited to a reliable and experienced Gas Engineer who is confident carrying out servicing, breakdowns, diagnostics and repairs across domestic heating systems. The role will involve attending customer properties, identifying faults, completing remedial works where possible, and ensuring all work is carried out safely, professionally and to a high standard. The client is looking for someone who can work independently, manage their workload effectively and provide a strong level of customer service while representing the business on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out domestic gas boiler servicing
- Attend breakdowns and diagnose faults across heating systems
- Complete repairs and remedial works where required
- Work on a range of domestic boilers, heating controls and central heating systems
- Identify parts, materials and follow-on works where needed
- Complete all paperwork, job notes and compliance documentation accurately
- Deliver a professional and customer-focused service
- Ensure all works are completed in line with Gas Safe regulations and health and safety standards
- Communicate clearly with the office, customers and internal teams
Requirements
- Domestic Gas experience within service and breakdown
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Confident working independently on domestic heating systems
- Valid ACS qualifications
- Gas Safe registered, or able to work under the clients required compliance process
- Own tools and suitable transport
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional and able to manage daily workload effectively
Desirable
- Experience working with private domestic customers
- LPG, unvented or renewables experience
- Experience with heating controls, smart thermostats and system wiring
- Ability to complete minor plumbing or heating remedial works
