About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join a growing renewables business based in Farnborough, working predominantly across Surrey and the surrounding areas. The role will focus on domestic solar PV installations for able-to-pay customers, delivering high-quality installations with a strong focus on customer service, compliance, and workmanship. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician with strong solar experience who is confident testing, inspecting, certifying, and signing off their own work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out domestic solar PV installations across Surrey and surrounding areas
  • Install and connect solar PV systems to a high standard
  • Complete testing, inspection, fault finding, and commissioning of systems
  • Sign off own electrical work in line with current regulations and company standards
  • Work on battery storage and EV charging installations where required
  • Complete electrical certification and relevant installation paperwork accurately
  • Maintain a clean, professional, and customer-focused approach on site
  • Liaise with customers, office teams, and project managers throughout the installation process
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain high site standards

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • C&G 2391 or equivalent testing and inspection qualification
  • Proven solar PV installation experience, ideally within domestic settings
  • Must be confident testing, inspecting, certifying, and signing off own electrical work
  • Experience working with able-to-pay domestic customers
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong communication skills and a clean, professional approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an installation team

Desirable Experience

  • Battery storage experience
  • ECS Gold Card
  • EV charging experience
  • Previous experience mentoring improvers or junior electricians
