Our client is a growing and forward-thinking renewable energy and heating company based in Fareham. Specialising in modern heating and cooling solutions including air source heat pumps, traditional heating systems, and renewable technologies, they are committed to delivering high-quality installations and excellent customer service.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a Heating & Cooling Manager to oversee their engineering team and lead the day-to-day operations of the heating division.

The Role

As Heating & Cooling Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and ensuring the smooth delivery of heating and cooling projects. This is a key leadership position within the business, overseeing engineer workloads, coordinating jobs, managing stock, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. You will work closely with the company directors and play an important role in the continued growth of the heating and renewable energy division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and supporting a team of heating and cooling engineers
  • Overseeing installation and service works for heating and cooling systems
  • Coordinating engineer schedules and workloads
  • Managing stock, materials, and equipment requirements
  • Supporting engineers with technical queries and problem solving
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard
  • Maintaining compliance with industry regulations and health & safety standards
  • Liaising with customers and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Reporting directly to the company directors on performance and operations

Requirements

  • Strong background within heating and cooling systems
  • Experience working with air source heat pumps (ASHP) and renewable heating technologies
  • Previous experience managing or supervising engineers
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Technical knowledge of heating installations, servicing, and fault finding
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Experience within the renewable energy sector
  • Relevant plumbing, heating, or HVAC qualifications
  • Experience managing installation teams or service departments
