Valoris Group Limited is looking for an experienced Contract Solar PV Electrician to support one of our renewable energy clients across York and the surrounding areas. This is a contract role suited to a qualified Electrician with strong Solar PV experience who can work independently, complete high-quality installs, and deliver a professional service on domestic customer sites.
The Role
You will be carrying out electrical works on domestic Solar PV and battery storage installations, typically completing one job per day. The work will involve installation, connection, testing, commissioning support, and ensuring all works are completed safely, neatly, and in line with current regulations.
Duties will include:
- Solar PV electrical installation works
- Battery storage and inverter connections
- AC and DC electrical works
- Testing, inspection, and fault finding where required
- Working from drawings and installation specifications
- Completing customer handovers where required
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
- Completing job paperwork and site documentation
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Previous Solar PV installation experience
- Battery storage experience would be beneficial
- Testing and inspection qualifications would be advantageous
- Own tools and transport preferred
- Strong customer-facing skills
- Able to work independently and manage your own day
- Good attention to detail and pride in your work
