We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Conference and Events Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting the management of all aspects of conference and event planning, from the initial inquiry to the final touches of execution, ensuring high standards are met and guests' expectations are exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support in the operational delivery of a wide range of events, from corporate conference meetings to large-scale banquets.
  • Lead in the set up, delivery and break down of all events ensuring a smooth and efficient process is experienced.
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand the clients' requirements and provide tailored solutions that align with their vision.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless delivery of services and event logistics.
  • Monitor event timelines and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Help manage budgets and financial aspects of events, ensuring the department is in line with payroll budgets.
  • Address and resolve any issues that arise before or during events to maintain service excellence.
  • Assist in training and supervising event staff to ensure they meet the hotel’s high standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with any suppliers and external partners.
  • Continuously update knowledge of industry trends to enhance event offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in event management, preferably in a hospitality setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as event schedules require.
