What you'll be doing:

At Medlock, decorating is more than keeping walls looking fresh—it’s about creating an environment that feels cared for, considered and effortlessly inviting. You’ll take pride in the details others might not notice, ensuring every finish, surface and space looks exactly as it should, so every guest experience feels comfortable, polished and complete.

You’ll take ownership of all aspects of painting and decorating—from day-to-day touch-ups to larger planned works—making sure every area consistently reflects our standards. Whether it’s a guest room, a public space or the wider surroundings, your work will help shape an environment that feels well maintained, welcoming and true to the character of the hotel.

Working alongside trusted contractors and your wider team, you’ll approach safety, quality and presentation with care and consistency, always doing things the right way.

No two days will look the same. You’ll balance hands-on work with forward planning and regular checks, bringing a proactive mindset and a strong sense of pride to everything you do.

Our hotel never stops, and neither does the care behind it. We operate 365 days a year, with shift patterns designed to reflect the rhythm of the business - offering flexibility where possible. Specific hours and working patterns can be discussed at interview.
